Display box of assorted gems showing the unpolished and polished gem. 

Assortment includes:

1.  Tiger's Eye - Found in South Africa, Zambia, Nigeria & Tanzania. A type of quartz with bands of other minerals trapped inside, forming a tiger-stripe pattern.

2. Sodalite - Found in Canada, Brazil and Greenland. Sodium Silicate, variety of colours but mainly blue.

3. Rhodonite - Found in Russia, Sweden, USA and Australia. Manganese Inosilicate (repeating Chain structure)

4. Green Aventurine - Found in India, Chile, Spain and Russia. A form of quartz with the the green colour due to the presence of Chrome Mica.

5. Unakite - Found in USA. A form of granite (feldspar) with a high quartz content and variable colour.

6. Hematite - Found in Australia and USA. Mineral form of Iron (III) Oxide.

7. Amazonite - Found in Brazil, Russia and USA. Aluminium Silicate with impurities of either Copper of Lead.

8. Carnelian - Found in Brazil, India, Siberia and Germany. A type of chalcedony coloured by Iron Oxide Impurities.

9. Fluorite - Found in South Africa, Mexico and USA. Calcium Fluoride, Occurring in all colours due to impurities, and a variety of Crystal forms.

10. Crystal Quartz - Found in Brazil, Mexico, Namibia and Morocco. Colourless form of quartz, also known as rock crystals.

11. Yellow Jade - Found in Japan, Myanmar, USA and Guatemala. Jadeite. Sodium Aluminium Silicate with colour forms due to the presence of impurities.

12. Red Jasper - Found in India, USA and Russia. A variety of Chalcedony (Silica mineral) with the red colour due to Iron impurities.

13. Rose Quartz - Found in Brazil, Madagascar and USA. Silicon Dioxide (Silica) with trace element impurties giving rise to a pink colour.

14. Howlite - Found in USA. Borosilicate. Naturally white but frequently supplied in a dyed form.

15.  Amethyst - Found in Siberia, Sri Lanka and Brazil. Quartz with the presence of trace elements that give rise to the purple colour.

Not suitable for children under 36 months.
