Anklets are accessories worn around ankles. It is usually made of metals, leather, plastic and beads as well as some less expensive stones. In some of the cases, anklets are attached with bells so that it enables the wearer to make pleasing sound when they walk.
In centuries ago, anklet with joint chain between feet were once wore by Middle-East women to limit their steps as to view as a source of feminine and icon of beauty. Whereas in India, women wore barefoot anklets and toe ring to show their marital status. Today, anklets are widely worn all over the world as a trend of fashion.
